Shenandoah National Park
Shenandoah National Park is the perfect getaway. The Skyline Drive, a designated National Scenic Byway, has over 75 overlooks providing spectacular views. There are 500 miles of trails that lead hikers to waterfalls, vistas, and the quiet of the woods. Swift Run Gap Entrance is conveniently located on U.S. 33 E, just past Elkton in Rockingham County. This year, the park enjoys their 75th Anniversary Celebration. There will be special events in the park and surrounding communities that honor the past and anticipate another 75 years of the Shenandoah experience!
