Water adventures in Rockingham County range from serene fishing spots to intense rafting and fun swimming holes. Some are easily accessible, a few require an adventuresome spirit, and several have trained staff who can guide you on your water adventure!

Canoeing, Kayaking and Rafting

Elkton Boat Landing (canoeing and kayaking launch). Access to the south fork of the Shenandoah River. Go east on Hwy 33 to Elkton. Turn left at "Elkton Business District" sign (Old Spotswood Trail). Massanutten River Adventures (canoeing, kayaking, tubing and rafting)

Stonewall Riverside Park, Elkton (canoeing) From Spotswood Trail (Hwy 33) in Elkton, go south on the East Side Highway (Rt 340). Turn right onto Ore Wash Road and follow it to the park. Telephone: Town of Elkton offices: (540) 298-1951
